Broadway Theaters

Broadway theaters aka Broadway is the most renowned professional theaters in the United States and is usually characterized by its theatrical performances. It is considered to be a representative of the highest level of commercial theater with amazing plays and performances worldwide. The performances take place in any of the forty huge professional theaters in the Theater District of Manhattan, New York. These theaters have a seating capacity of five-hundred people and an annual Tony awards ceremony recognizes the talents of Broadway productions.
The musicals and stage plays on Broadway often cast famous performers in leading roles, including actors from television and movies. They can be seen performing frequently on Broadway's revival shows, or replacing actors who have moved on. During the 1850s to 60s, the most frequently plays performed on Broadway were of William Shakespeare, most notable, by the American actor, Edwin Booth. He played the role of Hamlet, at the Winter Garden Theater, in 1865, for 100 consecutive performances, and was internationally recognized and renowned for this performance. His run ended only a few months prior to his brother, John Wilkes Booth, assassinating President Abraham Lincoln.

Rich in history with interesting architecture, Broadway offers one-of-a-kind experience and definitely worth visiting. Several successful plays to be seen on Broadway include, Chicago: The Musical, The Phantom of the Opera, Billy Eliot and Disney adaptations such as, “The Lion King” and “Beauty and the Beast” to “Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical” and the ever popular, award-winning “Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West” are the shining examples of Broadways immense success. Broadway musicals are known to run longer than non-musicals. In 2006, The “Phantom of the Opera,” at The Majestic, overtook “Cats,” with 7,486 performances, becoming the longest running Broadway musical. With unlimited source of entertainment, Broadway attracts tourists from around the globe, to visit New York, buy theater tickets and enjoy all that Broadway Theaters have to offer!

Country & Folk Music Concerts



In many ways, music is the definition of society and foundation of our existence. Music can be seen not only as a poetic medium, a fine art but also a great source of entertainment. Presently, there are several music genres present to entertain audiences for all tastes, including pop, hip hop, jazz, metal, punk, country and folk. Generally, country and folk music are considered to feature genuine and true expressions, which is why their concert tickets are always in high demand.
Although, similar in type and sharing the same grounds of rural existence, country and folk music are quite different genres. Based largely in traditional folk tunes, country and folk music revolves around the difficulties of country life, the troubles of farmers, and folk hero legends. It makes heavy use of stringed instruments such as mandolins, fiddles, banjoes and guitars.
Folk music is considered to have provided roots for the basis of later developed genres including rock and roll, jazz, rhythm and blues. Some of the most popular musicians emerged from this traditional form of music genre are Woody Guthrie, Joan Baez and Bob Dylan among others. Whereas country music consists of a Nashville sound, western swing and blue grass sounds, also honky tonk. The top solo artists produced by this genre and celebrated around the globe are Garth Brooks and Elvis Presley.
Both these genres are widely accepted and appreciated by people in all ages. Country and folk music is popular worldwide, especially in the southern areas of U.S.  There are ample festivals and concerts that feature country and folk music as both genres supply excellent sounds to dance. Fans flock in huge numbers from around the globe to attend and enjoy these concerts, hence country and folk tickets remain in high demand throughout the year.
